General Terms and Conditions of Sale
These terms aim to define the General Terms and Conditions of Sale between COSTA NOVA and CASAFINA by COSTA NOVA (hereinafter referred to as “COSTA NOVA”, “COSTA NOVA and CASAFINA by COSTA NOVA”, or the “COSTA NOVA Online Store”), brands owned by COSTA NOVA USA, and the user, being the only applicable terms between the parties.
By using and/or placing an order on the COSTA NOVA website, the user:
- Declares that they have read and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions;
- Declares that they are at least 18 years old;
- Commits to not making improper or fraudulent use of this website;
- Accepts that any consumer dispute will be governed by Portuguese law, notwithstanding any contrary provision, EU directive, or international treaty;
- Acknowledges that the use of our Online Store and the purchase contracts concluded through this website are governed by Portuguese law;
- Understands that any disputes arising from or related to the Online Store will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the District of Aveiro. This provision does not affect any other rights recognized to the consumer under applicable law.
COSTA NOVA USA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Therefore, we advise users to review them each time they use the site.

1. Pricing Policy and Promotional Campaigns
All prices for products displayed on this website are in U.S. Dollars (USD).
They are valid throughout the entire order process and do not include shipping costs, which will be added to the total at checkout (see the “Shipping Costs” section).
COSTA NOVA reserves the right to change prices and specifications without prior notice.
1.1 Promotional Campaigns
COSTA NOVA periodically runs promotions and offers on selected products or collections.
These promotions are valid for a limited time and cannot be used outside that period.
All clearly marked promotions have a defined validity period and apply to orders placed up to the end of that period.
1.2 Discount Vouchers and Promo Codes
From time to time, COSTA NOVA may issue vouchers and/or promo codes for registered customers.
To benefit from these discounts, the customer must enter the promo code and/or accept the voucher and click "Validate".
The discount will be applied to the “Order Total” at checkout.
1.3 Gift Card
The Gift Card can only be used to purchase products in the online store at www.us.costanova.com.
This is a bearer document, and the responsibility for its use and safekeeping lies solely with the holder. In case of loss, theft, or damage, the Gift Card will not be replaced.
The Gift Card is only valid for purchases made on the COSTA NOVA website. This Gift Card can only be used in the same online store where it was purchased.
The Gift Card is valid for 12 months from the date of issuance. After this period, the Gift Card cannot be used or reactivated. The expiration date can be found in the email sent with the Gift Card.
The Gift Card balance cannot be refunded or converted into cash. The Gift Card cannot be used to purchase another Gift Card. You can check the available balance of the Gift Card in your user account at www.us.costanova.com.
If the value of your purchase is fully covered by the Gift Card, it will be the only accepted payment method. If the cart value exceeds the Gift Card amount, the customer may use any of the available payment methods in the purchase market.
If a purchase is made for an amount lower than the Gift Card value, the remaining balance can be used for a future purchase.
If the customer who purchased the Gift Card wishes to return it, this is only possible if the Gift Card has not been used. If the return is accepted, the amount will be refunded via the same payment method used for the purchase.
Purchases made with a Gift Card will not be refunded. If the customer wishes to return an item, the value will be refunded in the form of a voucher, which can only be redeemed in the online store.
In cases where the payment was made using a Gift Card in combination with another available payment method, the refund will first be credited to the alternative payment method, according to the amount initially paid, and the remaining balance will be refunded via a voucher.
In case of issues with the delivery of the Gift Card, such as non-receipt or delayed email delivery, COSTA NOVA is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to: (i) communication failures; (ii) errors in the recipient's details provided by the buyer; (iii) delivery problems to the indicated email address; or (iv) the email being marked as spam or sent to the junk folder.
Gift Cards obtained fraudulently will be canceled, cannot be used to purchase products, and the balance will not be refunded.
3. Payment Methods
COSTA NOVA accepts the following payment methods: Visa, American Express, Klarna, Amazon Pay, and Mastercard.
All transactions are encrypted and 100% secure (see our Privacy Policy for more information).

4. Shipping Locations and Delivery Times
4.1 Delivery Times
Orders placed before 3:00 PM EST will ship the same day.
Delivery is made only after payment confirmation.
Orders will be delivered to the address specified by the customer. Providing incorrect information may result in additional costs.
For deliveries to different addresses, the customer must place separate orders (with separate shipping costs).
Estimated delivery times:
- 1 business day: Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island
- 2 business days: Maine, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, West Virginia
- 3 to 7 business days: All other U.S. states
For deliveries to other destinations, please contact us using the form available on the website.
Whenever possible, COSTA NOVA meets the stated delivery times. These may be slightly longer during holiday periods.
5. Shipping Costs
- $9.99 for orders up to $75
- FREE for orders over $75
Shipping charges will be added during checkout before order confirmation.
6. Product Unavailability
The products displayed in the COSTA NOVA online store are subject to stock availability.
If an ordered product is unavailable, COSTA NOVA will inform the customer of the new delivery timeline.
If the customer chooses to cancel the order, COSTA NOVA will refund the amount paid using the original payment method within approximately 30 days of confirming the unavailability.
7. Order Cancellation
The customer may cancel the order as long as it has not yet been processed by COSTA NOVA.
Cancellations must be made via email to costanovaus@costanova.com, with the subject "Order Cancellation", or using the form available on the website.
The message must include the order number; otherwise, the cancellation will not be considered valid.
8. Returns and Exchanges
COSTA NOVA does not accept product exchanges.
Returns can be made within 14 days of receiving the order, under the following conditions:
a) The product does not meet the customer’s expectations;
b) Wrong item received (does not match the order);
c) Defective item;
d) Damaged item – upon delivery, check the product and note any damage on the delivery slip that may have occurred during transport.
Returns must be formalized via email to costanovaus@costanova.com with the subject "Return" or through the website form.
The reason for the return and order number must be indicated. Returns without prior notice will not be accepted.
For your protection, we recommend using a professional packing and insured shipping service. COSTA NOVA is not responsible for damage or loss during return shipping.
Return shipping and insurance costs are the customer's responsibility.

In cases b), c), and d), COSTA NOVA will reimburse shipping costs and will not charge for reshipment.
Refunds will be made after quality assessment by our Quality Department, using the same payment method, within approximately 15 days.
Products may only be returned if unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.
8.1. Return of Undelivered Orders
If an order is returned to the sender due to refusal of receipt, incorrect/incomplete address, or recipient absence—and no formal return request was made—COSTA NOVA reserves the right to deduct the shipping and return costs from the refund, according to the shipping cost chart above.
To avoid such situations, customers must ensure the address provided is correct and that they will be available to receive the order during the estimated delivery timeframe.
8.2. Costs Charged to the Customer
In cases b), c), and d), COSTA NOVA covers the full return and reshipment costs. If the customer opts for a refund, it will be processed after quality assessment, using the same payment method within approximately 15 days of return receipt.
In case a), the customer is responsible for all transportation costs related to the return.
8.3. Variations Not Considered Defects
The products sold, particularly handmade items, often have characteristics of the natural materials used in their production. These features, such as grain, texture, knots, and color variations, will not be considered defects or damage.
On the contrary, users should expect and appreciate these characteristics.
We only select high-quality products, but natural variations are inevitable and must be accepted as part of the product’s uniqueness.
The provisions of this clause do not affect the user’s rights as a consumer, including the right to withdraw from the contract.
